This tour begins daily at our convenient Downtown San Diego location. From here we will transport you throughout the loveliest and most renowned parts of our city. The first areas you will visit include sparkling Coronado, the historic Gaslamp Quarter, resplendent and beautiful Balboa Park. Then we delight our visitors with a one-hour stop for lunch and shopping in the Gaslamp Quarter. After the break, we continue north to the stunning coastline of La Jolla at 1:00 PM.La Jolla is arguably the finest part of this city. Many of San Diego’s famous and wealthiest residents live here. The reasons why are the beautiful views from the coastline to the mountains and everything in-between. We only had one day to see San Diego and thanks to Lawrence we saw it all. The write up on the web site does not reflect all that we did. Lawrence was very knowledgeable which made the most of our time. He went out of his way to accommodate our interests. One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to see sea lions, caves, pelicans, cormorants and seals.
Thanks also to Melissa at the tour front desk who set us up on the tour and was kind enough to help us with our San Francisco tour plans as well.

We really enjoyed our San Diego Highlights tour. We only had two days in San Diego and wanted to see all that the city has to offer. Lawrence our guide made sure we saw all that was possible. He was very knowledgeable of all the historic facts and info that normamlly would of gone unnoticed. The afternoon part of the tour to La Jolla was our favorite! My 16 year old son loved the views and the seals. Afterwards, he commented to us he wanted to move to San Diego! Touring Balboa Park was very interesting. I had no clue so many museueums and attractions were in one area. We enjoyed the side trip to the Hotel Del Coronado as well. We really lucked out when we walked onto the hotel beach. The US Navy was training Navy Seals just off to side of the resort beach. My son just watched a show on the Discovery Channel about their training. So, it was a thrill for him to see the actual training live! Lawrence always made sure we had plenty to drink and snack on all day. He was the perfect guide and our family will never forget this tour! If your planning a few days in San Diego I would take this tour on the first day of your stay. After the tour you can revisit some of the sites that you would like to spend more time exploring. I learned that Balboa Park would be worth a full day of exploring. We had a fun day and Lawrence made a lot of memories for our family. Thank you Another-side-of-San Diego-Tours for a great time!
