Electric Bike Tour of Cabrillo National Monument

This tour departs from Shelter Island, and we'll start out with an orientation and fitting at the meeting point. Heading out through Point Loma’s small fishing and boating village, we’ll soon head up into the beautiful neighborhoods hugging the hillside. Loma means hill, and you’ll soon find out why! Motoring up though the winding streets, we’ll have spectacular views of San Diego’s Big Bay. Catalina Blvd takes us onto Cabrillo Memorial Dr, and we’ll take a peaceful spin through Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery. Once inside Cabrillo National Monument, we’ll explore the iconic Old Point Loma Lighthouse. we’ll take an exhilarating ride down the hill on the south side to the tide pools below for a snack and some exploring of the sea life. The ride back up is another opportunity to use your throttle, and the ride back has constant gorgeous views of the city skyline. A visit to San Diego would not be complete without taking in the beauty and history of Point Loma. We'll ride through Fort Rosecrans Natl. Cemetery and take in sweeping views of San Diego's downtown skyline with spectacular Mediterranean-like Pacific shore vistas. At the tip on the peninsula lies Cabrillo Natl. Monument, one of the top three most visited national monuments, home to the historic Old Point Loma Lighthouse. A thrilling ride down to the shore leads to our picnic spot at the tide pools.
